We pray for those who in the beginning of Winter are seeking peace, comfort and healing from physical and mental health issues that are holding them back from fullness of life. We pray also for those who care, support and nurture these people for strength, compassion and understanding as they bring solace to them during the months ahead.
Those who are struggling in mind, body & spirit that they may know God’s comfort & healing: Sheila Pyatt-Coppell, Sheila Cowley, Olivia Pettigrew, Sandra Caley, Christopher Browne, Mildred Cooper, Mariel Callow, Dorothy Singleton, George Sinclair, Christine Roberts, Liz Pickering, Roberto Di Chiara & Tara Mackenzie.
In addition there are a number of people at home preparing for tests and procedures who don’t wish to be named, however, I would ask you to please keep in your prayers all those we know of who are struggling in mind, body and spirit at this time.
Those who have lost loved ones & in particular the family & friends of: James Burton.
And those we name in the quiet of our hearts. Please remember that we need permission to put names on this list. Please help us to keep this list up to date by keeping us informed of changes.

Prayers for Daily Life – Trinity
O God, the creator and preserver of all,
we pray for people in every kind of need;
make your ways known on earth,
your saving health among all nations …
We pray for the Church;
guide and govern us by your good Spirit,
that all who profess and call themselves Christians
may be led into the way of truth,
and hold the faith in unity of spirit,
in the bond of peace and in righteousness of life …
We commend to your fatherly goodness
all those who are any ways afflicted or distressed,
in mind, body or estate;
comfort and relieve them in their need,
give them patience in their sufferings,
and bring good out of all their afflictions …
We remember those who have gone before us
in the peace of Christ,
and we give you praise for all your faithful ones,
with whom we rejoice in the communion of saints …
All this we ask for Jesus Christ’s sake.
All Amen
Dear Friends
In terms of the church year, this feels like a bit of an in-between time, we’ve had the major festivals of Harvest and Remembrance but we’re still waiting for Advent to start. Following the announcement to be made on Sunday it may feel that we are also in a bit of an in-between time in terms of the life of this church community. However, we would be wrong on both counts. There is no such thing as an in-between time in God’s kingdom because now more than ever is the time for prayer. Now is the time for deep and faithful prayer to seek God’s vision for this church community. Just as in the parable of the talents it will take hard work, but it will be work in the context of grace upon grace. It is time to look to your loving Elder Brother – Christ the King, working together with him in the power of his Spirit to see how his Kingdom will take shape here in this corner of the Isle of Man.
God’s blessings, Alessandra
A Message from Mariel Callow
I just want to say a very big thank you to all my friends at St Peter’s for their fantastic support over the last couple of months. I was really carried through by the prayer support and all the practical assistance during my ongoing isolation. All the cards, flowers & gifts really cheered me up when I was feeling a bit the worse for wear when I came back after the op. Thank you also for the lovely Harvest Hamper- what a lovely selection of goodies, most useful during isolation!
To finish I can tell you your prayers have been answered as I had a phone call from my surgeon on Monday giving me the all clear! The cancer was only 1b and hadn’t spread so I don’t need chemo or anything other than a 3 month post op check & then annual blood tests and scan all of which can be done over here! Thank you Lord and thanks again to all of you. Love Mariel xxx

Dorothy Singleton would like to say a very big Thank You
