In joyful expectation of his coming to our aid we pray to Jesus.
Come to your Church as Lord and judge. We pray for … Help us to live in the light of your coming and give us a longing for your kingdom. Maranatha: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come to your world as King of the nations. We pray for … Before you rulers will stand in silence. Maranatha: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come to the suffering as Saviour and comforter. We pray for … Break into our lives, where we struggle with sickness and distress, and set us free to serve you for ever. Maranatha: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come to us as shepherd and guardian of our souls. We remember … Give us with all the faithful departed a share in your victory over evil and death. Maranatha: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come from heaven, Lord Jesus, with power and great glory. Lift us up to meet you, that with all your saints and angels we may live and reign with you in your new creation.
Maranatha: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come, Lord Jesus, do not delay; give new courage to your people, who trust in your love. By your coming, raise us to share in the joy of your kingdom on earth as in heaven, where you live and reign with the Father and the Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Daily Prayers to help us walk in Jesus’ footsteps
Reign in me, Sovereign Lord, Reign in me. Captivate my heart May your will be done Establish there your throne May your Kingdom come. Reign in me, Sovereign Lord Reign in me.
Father God, I give you permission to go to any level within me to heal, cleanse and restore according to your truth. To the best of my ability I invite you to be my Lord unconditionally. I say this because I know you want the very best for me. Thank you Lord God in Jesus’ name. Amen
Lord, Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
Lord Jesus, I give you my hands to do your work. I give you my feet to go your way. I give you my eyes to see as you do. I give you my ears to hear as you hear. I give you my tongue to speak your words I give you my mind that you may think in me . I give you my heart that you may love in me your Father and all humankind. I give you my whole self that you may grow in me so that it is you Lord Jesus who live, and work and pray in me. Amen
Lord may I be transformed through the renewal of my mind so that I will no longer conform to the patterns of this world but will know your good, pleasing and perfect will for me. Amen
A Prayer of Repentance Lord, penetrate these murky corners where we hide memories and tendencies on which we do not care to look, but which we will not disinter and yield freely up to you, that you may purify and transmute them: the persistent buried grudge; the half acknowledged enmity which is still smouldering; the bitterness of that loss we have not turned into sacrifice; the private comfort we cling to; the secret fear of failure which saps our initiative and is really inverted pride; the pessimism which is an insult to your joy. Lord we bring all these to you and we review them with shame and penitence in your steadfast light. Evelyn Underhill

Letter from the Team Rector
Dear Friends
In light of the Advent season being a time of reflection and preparation not just for Christmas but also the second coming of Jesus our Lord, an important starting point is to turn to God in repentance and prayer. I have begun to stream Daily Celtic Prayer once more so we can join together in prayer as we seek that daily encounter with Christ. I have also added as an aid a Prayer of Repentance by Evelyn Underhill to the list of daily prayers set out above.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their hard work and service throughout this year, and to all those working so hard to make our Christmas services and events so special despite the current restrictions.
God’s blessings, Alessandra
