Readings

Bible Study

Anyone wishing to join our Bible Study group please speak to Alessandra. We have just started studying Romans.

Dear Friends

How do we love that which is different?  How do we love the person who makes us smile through gritted teeth.  We all have these people in our lives and the answer is not by praying for them to change, but rather asking God to help us to change.  This is what lies at the heart of our reading from Romans today. As we go about our daily lives this week, this is something to hold before us

For many people on the island the Chief Minister’s confirmation that our border controls are staying at level 4 will be a huge relief. For some it will be a hard message as they continue to be separated from their families.  Please continue to hold them in your prayers and please continue to pray for our children and young people as they return to school and particularly for their teachers.

With all God’s blessings, Alessandra

Prayers for Daily Life – Trinity

O God, the creator and preserver of all,

we pray for people in every kind of need;

make your ways known on earth,

your saving health among all nations …

We pray for the Church;

guide and govern us by your good Spirit,

that all who profess and call themselves Christians

may be led into the way of truth,

and hold the faith in unity of spirit,

in the bond of peace and in righteousness of life …

We commend to your fatherly goodness

all those who are any ways afflicted or distressed,

in mind, body or estate;

comfort and relieve them in their need,

give them patience in their sufferings,

and bring good out of all their afflictions …

We remember those who have gone before us

in the peace of Christ,

and we give you praise for all your faithful ones,

with whom we rejoice in the communion of saints …

All this we ask for Jesus Christ’s sake.

All   Amen
